The Bridgewater Fishing Area remains open for use.
Lake Wylie
  • Ebenezer Access Area – Beginning Nov. 4, 2019, York County, in cooperation with Duke Energy, will temporarily close the boat ramps and day use facilities at Ebenezer Access Area (Ebenezer Park) on Lake Wylie for site upgrades. Pigeon River

Waterville Lake

Yadkin-Pee Dee

Blewett Falls Lake
  • Blewett Falls Tailrace Fishing Area will be closed to the public due to storm damage received during Hurricane Florence and associated construction activity in the area. A new fishing platform is currently scheduled to open to the public in 2020.

East Fork of the Tuckasegee

Cedar Cliff Lake
  • A drawdown of Cedar Cliff Lake began on Sept. 3, 2019. The lake will be lowered approximately 40 feet below full pond to perform required maintenance at Cedar Cliff Dam. Construction is estimated to take approximately 24 months. The Cedar Cliff Access Area will be closed for the duration of the drawdown. The site will remain closed until construction is complete and the lake returns to a level of 93 feet or greater. The time required to refill the lake will depend on weather conditions and inflows.

West Fork of the Tuckasegee

Lake Glenville
  • From Dec. 9 to Dec. 30, 2019, Lake Glenville will be lowered to perform maintenance on the spillway gates. This work will require the lake to be lowered 3 feet below the normal target elevation, which will cause the Pine Creek ramps to be too shallow for use by some boats. The Powerhouse Access Area boat ramps will remain in service.

Lake Keowee
  • Beginning Oct. 27, 2019, Duke Energy will temporarily close the Fall Creek Access Area (South) on Lake Keowee for implementation of safety measures and shoreline stabilization. Fall Creek (North) will remain open and Fall Creek (South) is expected to re-open on Dec. 20, 2019.
All closure and open dates are projected and may be impacted by weather.
